Reach Out To Your Neighbour

In memory of Brother Khurram Naeem

Islam puts a deep emphasis on our individual duty to our neighbours.
The rights of the neighbour are not meant for Muslim neighbours only but for all, regardless of faith and background.

Allah Subhanahu wa-ta’ala tells us:
“And be good to the neighbour who is your relative and to the neighbour who is not a relative…”
(Qur’an, 4:36)

Narrates Ibn `Umar:
Allah’ Apostle said, Gabriel kept on recommending me about treating the neighbours in a kind and polite manner, so much so that I thought that he would order (me) to make them (my) heirs.”
(Reference : Sahih al-Bukhari 6015)
Given our busy schedules, we do not always have the time or energy to reach out to our Non-Muslim neighbours.
On Sunday, the 10th of December we will be making food parcels at the Hub between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm for people to collect and distribute to their neighbours. Please come along and treat your neighbour. This particular initiative is in memory of Brother Khurram Naeem who was always helping others in the Community. We hope this interaction with neighbours continues through the year Inshallah and that our children also get involved.

Kindly let us have your orders by the 5th December by email: info@cambournecrescent.org

May Allah SWT accepts our deeds.
